Golden Temple Vellore – Timings

The Sanctum Sanctorum of the temple houses an idol of Goddess Lakshmi, with the flowers from the garden used for decoration. The idol of Goddess Narayani is considered to be a Swayambhumurthi, as in every particle used in the making of this idol is of divine relevance. The devotees can view the goddess of wealth in full grandeur from 08:00 am to 08:00 pm on all days.The temple is the shrine of the goddess Mahalakshmi.

Worshippers can visit the temple for darshan between 8 am to 8 pm all days of the year. Entry into the temple is free for anyone who wants to have darshan. If you need to have the Dhivya Dharshan administered by the Sri Lakshmi Narayani, you would have to pay Rs 100. Note that only one person can have the Dhivya Dharshan, and this is only available on Saturdays and Sundays.

A queue control system around the temple manages pilgrim traffic. The security queues where you will undergo security checks that include frisking and scanning of carry-on items may stretch for up to three kilometers. Nonetheless, once inside the (Sri Chakra) star shaped paths, the wait is totally worth it. The elderly, the physically challenged are allowed to enter the temple directly and are offered wheelchairs and free assistance by temple volunteers.
